Eyemouth, who are rooted at the foot of the table, made the journey up the A1 to Recreation Park to face promotion chasing Ormiston.

And from the first whistle the home side set out their intentions by attacking the Eyemouth defence looking for that early goal.

The fishermen weathered this onslaught albeit a bit panicky and started to attack Ormiston with good chances falling to Lauder and Milligan but to no avail

After 25 minutes into first half Ormiston gained a throw in deep inside the Eyemouth half which was thrown long into the box where the fishermen defence failed to react and the forward unchallenged gave the home side the lead 1-0. 6 minutes later from an Ormiston corner the Eyemouth defence were static again and failed to track runners and Ormiston headed themselves 2-0 up.

On 37 minutes from yet another corner to Ormiston the fishermen failed to learn from their mistakes to go behind 3-0 at half time

At half time the Eyemouth coaches let their players know in no uncertain terms that their performance was not good enough and demanded a reaction in the second half to which they duly got.

On 52 minutes a Lauder ball into the box found Burrell who was upended and a penalty given which Aidan Lauder stepped up and made no mistake in converting to grab a goal back. This spurred Eyemouth on and with renewed confidence started to control the game. On the hour mark a tremendous cross from Gavin Burrell out on the right found Aidan Lauder rising in the Ormiston box to head his and Eyemouths second goal to make it 3-2 and three minutes later with Eyemouth on the ascendancy they won a corner and Sean Ford rose in the box to head in the equaliser against a shell shocked Ormiston side..

The fishermen looked to have taken the lead when Keith Buckley back heeled past keeper but it was scrambled from the line when it looked over.. The winner did come though and it was a killer blow to Eyemouth. Another long Ormiston throw was put into the danger area allowing them to grab their fourth goal . A gutted Eyemouth side pushed once again for the equaliser but time ran out .
