A well-disciplined display from North Sunderland saw them inflict the first league defeat of the season on the league leaders.

After a goalless first half Neil MacFarlane scored the only goal of the game to give the Seahouses side victory.

BAMBURGH CASTLE 2

LOWICK UNITED 0

Goals from Stevie Walker and Darren Egdell gave Bamburgh a half-time lead.

Lowick were reduced to eight players in the second half, but they still managed to hit the post.

HIGHFIELDS UNITED 0 TWEEDMOUTH RANG 3

Tweedmouth jumped to second place in the first division with this derby win over Highfields.

There was not a lot between the sides in the first half with a single goal separating the sides at the break, but Rangersbagged two more after the break to seal the win.

Goalscorers for Tweedmouth were Luke Dickson (2) and Lee Dodd.

BELFORD 1

During an evenly contested game both teams created chances, but it was a Mark Dunlop goal which was the difference between the sides at the final whistle.

The victorymeans Belford have noiw opened up a four point lead at the top of the second division.

TWEEDMOUTH HARROW 2

Springhill took the honours from this local derby to hang on to third spot in the division.

Mark Douglas and Josh Dixon were the Harrow scorers with Martin Bell (2), Colin Young, RFichard Green, Chris Jenkins and Michael Antcliffe netting for Springhill.

* In the only other game played in Division Two, Craster Rovers beat Eglingham 9-1 with Richard Stanwix hitting four goals for the visitors.
