It was first against third in the NNL second division, with Belford extending their lead at the top of the table after a good 6-3 win.
The home side turned in a strong first half performance which put them four goals to the good at the break.
Amble hit back to score three times in the second half, but Belford were always the stronger of the two sides and they netted twice more to take the points.
Home goalscorers were Ross Moor and Grant Sharp with two apiece, whilst Darren Thompson and Mark Dunlop also found the net. Amble scorers were Reece Ramsay, Joe Henderson and Josh Harrison.
Alnmouth remain at the foot of the table after a 4-2 home defeat by Tweedmouth Harrow. Dan Humphrey and Brett Rogerson scored for Alnmouth, with Andy Burgon (2), Craig Anderson and Johnny Blyth all on target for the Berwick side.
A close game at Bamburgh saw the Castle side win their Anderson Cup tie 3-1 against Rothbury. Will farmer, Steve Archer and Johnny Johnson all scored for the home side, with Craig Sutton getting the Rothbury reply.
Michael Freathy (2), Peter Roberts, Dean Short and Ryan Wilson were the Wansbeck scorers as they eased through to the next round after beating North Sunderland.
In the Robson Cup, Wooler Reserves won 7-4 away to Eglingham with goals for the Glendale side coming from Sam Cowans, Jack Strangeways and Kyle Jeffrey, who all netted two, and one from Martin Nesbit.
