Once again the North Northumberland League was hit by the weather at the weekend, with only a handful of games going ahead.

BAMBURGH CASTLE 1

ROTHBURY 2

This was a good even game and Bamburgh thought they had struck first only to see the goal disallowed.

Rothbury then went ahead thanks to a Gavin Dick goal and they doubled their advantage before half time with a goal from Thomas Hammond.

During the second half it was again fairly even before Danny Johnson pulled a goal back for Bamburgh.

AMBLE ST CUTHBERT 9 EMBLETON WR 0

Liam Ramsay helped himself to five goals as Amble completed a comfortable win over Embleton WR.

The home club led by four goals at half-time and during the second half added five more without reply before the final whistle. Other marksmen for Amble were Joe Henderson with two plus single strikes from Reece Ramsay and Thomas Stones.

LYNEMOUTH ANGLERS 4

EGLINGHAM 2

This was a more organised performance by Eglingham after recent weeks and the home club had to work hard for the win.

Liam Desmier and Scott Neil netted for Lynemouth during the first half with Daniel Leng scoring for the visitors.

In the second half Desmier got his second with Tony Messenger scoring a fourth for Lynemouth while Jordan Beattie scored a second for Eglingham.
