Eyemouth had to bounce back from the loss of an early goal and a 2-1 deficit at half-time to take all three points in this hard-fought encounter.
Hawick took the lead after only ten seconds after one of the Eyemouth central defenders was caught in possession and the hawick striker shot past Mutch.
The home side settled, however, and they managed to get back on level terms when Alan Jess converted from the penalty spot after a Hawick defender handled in the box.
After half an hour Hawick regained the initiative when a long throw into the box was misjudged by the goalkeeper and a visiting forward netted at the back post.
In the second half Eyemouth knew they had a fight on their hands, but they stuck to their task and ‘super-sub’ Johnny Waugh made it 2-2 after Adamson broke down the left and cut the ball back for him to finish with a low shot.
The winner came from the boot of striker James Wilson who netted with a well struck free kick with ten minutes remaining.
Eyemouth: Mutch, Spiers, Windram, Drummond, Wood, Adamson (Windram), Jess, Bullen, Greenlees (Waugh), Phillips, Wilson.
