Coldstream have appointed Grant Davidson as their new manager. He joins the East of Scotland club after a year in charge at Gala Fairydean Rovers reserves.

The 33-year-old from Jedburgh is joined at Home Park by striker Des Sutherland, who was his player-assistant at Gala and will take up the same role at Coldstream.

Davidson was previously in charge at Ancrum before moving to Netherdale last summer. He guided Gala to second place in Border Amateur League Division A and won two cups.

“The appeal of this job is being first-team manager again,” said Davidson. “It is a fresh start and I’m moving up a level in coaching terms to the East of Scotland.”
