The champagne corks were popping after Chirnside won the Border Amateur League A Division on Tuesday.
In what was a crunch match, United took the spoils in a title decider with a 4-2 home win over rivals Hawick Waverley.
And with Chirnside United Colts having already won the C Division it means the club have double reason to celebrate this season.
In a tense first half, and with the mist closing in, there was not a lot between the two sides, but a goal after 40 minutes from Jack Windram gave Chirnside the lead at half-time.
They doubled their advantage with a second goal from Robbie Armstrong just two minutes into the second half, but Hawick proved stubborn opponents and were not prepared to give up without a fight.
They pulled a goal back after 64 minutes through Craig, but two goals in a four minute spell put Chirnside in the driving seat and on the verge of the championship.
They made it 3-1 after 68 minutes with a second goal from Armstrong and 4-1 after 72 minutes through Duncan Morrison.
Hawick pulled another goal back after 80 minutes from Hope, but Chirnside already had the champers on ice and by the time the final whistle blew the players, management and fans were ready to party.
Also on Tuesday, Greenlaw beat Stow 1-0 away from home in the A League, with Chris Robertson scoring the only goal of the game after 76 minutes, a result which confirmed Chirnside’s title.
In the B Division there was also an away win for Gordon, who beat Linton Hotspur 2-0, their goals coming from Gillie and Utterson.
