Duns recorded their first ever win at Recreation Park when they beat Burntisland 0-2 on Saturday.

It was also the Berwickshire side’s first away clean sheet of the season.

Stevie Shennan, with his tenth league goal in nine starts, and another fromMartyn Tait, gave the Dingers all three points which keeps them in the promotion chase.

Shennan’s strike also made him the top league scorer in the East of Scotland First Division.

The turning point in the match came when the Shipyard missed a penalty with 20 minutes remaining as Ewan Henderson saw his spot kick saved by Duns keeper Paul Tamsy.

Tansey also denied the home side in the first half when he made a brilliant save to stop a shot from Shaun Keatings, which looked destined for the top corner.

Jordan Lauder had a shot saved by the home keeper, who also made a fine double save before the deadlock was broken when Shennan scored from close range and Tait netted from a free header to give the visiting Dingers a welcome victory.
