This game was played in very windy conditions,

Blyth played with the wind and took the lead with a crossshot which had keeper Powell wrong -ooted. Both sides had chances but it was a quiet first half and at the break it remained 1-0.

Straight from kick off Lowick applied the pressure and a back-pass to the Blyth keeper was cleared, but fell to Georgia Latto, who volleyed it into the top right corner to make it 1-1.

Lowick kept up the pressure and it was a good passing move which saw them take the lead from an Amy Hately 25 yard shot.

Blyth then pushed three up front and they broke the offside trap to make it 2-2.

This set up a nervy 10 minutes for both teams, Lowick conceded a free kick five yards outside the box, which resulted in Blyth taking a 3-2 lead,

Stewart had the chance to level it in the last minute but the Blyth keeper pulled off a finger tip save to give Blyth the three points.

Best for Lowick Jodie Robinson. Lowick are back on the road on Sunday with a trip to Birtley St Joseph’s .
