In the last game of the season for both teams, Berwick Reserves packed too much firepower for Eyemouth though in the opening half hour, there was little between them.
With more luck, Eyemouth might have taken the lead. Jordyn Gill kicked a Connor Lough shot off the line and James Wison’s 22 yard free kick bounced off the outside of the post.
Eyemouth were shouting for offside when Dean Carse, the fourth man in the move, put Rangers in front after 32 minutes.
Four minutes later, Josh Morris scored his first of the night when the Eyemouth defence failed to cut out Greig Tulloch’s cross.
Scott Adamson supplied Lough with a long ball to open the visitors’ account a minute into the new half but Berwick immediately retaliated with a Kenny O’Brien goal.
O’Brien turned provider for Morris’ second goal when the under pressure Sean Phillips could only return the ball to him.
Gill made it five with a thumping ball from the touchline which hit the far post before going in. On 72 minutes, Morris made it a hat trick with a cheeky little flick.
When the ball got trapped between Ewan Saunderson’s legs, Sean Campbell took it from him and squeezed it just inside the post for Eyemouth’s second goal.
Eyemouth keeper Adam Mutch made three excellent second half saves but could do little to stop Carse scoring Berwick’s seventh goal eight minutes from time after working his way into a perfect firing position.
The final table shows Berwick finish third, with Eyemouth bottom.
