After an entertaining and well deserved draw against league leaders Cramlington last week, Wooler should have gone into this game full of confidence.
Unfortunately the fates dictated otherwise and Wooler struggled for any fluidity against competent opposition all afternoon.
Wooler had the best of the initial chances but Mark Forrest saw his early strike rebound off the woodwork.
The home team soon scored and the Wooler forwards were frustrated by the Bedlington offside trap and the referees erratic decisions.
It was still 1-0 at half-time and the second half saw no let-up in the home teams dominance.
Bedlington scored a further two goals to make the final score 3-0.
On the day Wooler were second best with very little positives to take out of this match.
On Saturday they face a tricky home encounter with Northern Alliance second division opposition AFC Newbiggin in the third round of the NFA Minor Cup, with a 1.30pm kick-off.
