Draw made as 26 teams enter 2013 Berwick Charities Cup

A total of 26 teams have entered the Berwick Charities Cup for 2013 and the competition will kick off with the first round on Tuesday, May 14.

Six teams have received byes to the second round and those sides are:

Hutton Stone FC, Over Forties, Weekend Warriors, CBOT, Alnmouth Areyle and Shilbottle FC.

The full first round draw is:

Tues May 14 - Team Joe v FC Cauldy; Thurs 16 - Ayton Amateurs v Silvery Tweed Cereals; Sat 18 - Craster Rovers v AC Coldingham;

Tues 21 - Kings Head v Kelso Heed Hunters; Thurs 23 - Tweedmouth Juniors v Couch Potatoes; Sat 25 - Mean Machine v Berwick United.

Tues 28 - Eyemouth Miners Welfare v Zlatan FC; Tues 30 - The Twa Moons v Yivnaeidea; Sat June 1 - Wrong Direction v Shakey B All Stars; Tues 4 - Blenheim Anti Social Unit v Gentlemen of Berwick Rugby Club.

All games are played on The Stanks at Berwick and as usual, all ties will be decided on the night.

If necessary, 30 minutes extra-time will be played with penalties to follow if the scores are still level.

All Tuesday and Thursday games kick off at 7pm with Saturday matches starting at 6.30pm.

The Berwick Charities Cup is an annual competition which each year raises thousands of pounds for local charities through sponsorship and nightly match collections from supporters who attend matches.

All games are open to the public and organisers would urge as many people as possible to go along and support the event which runs throughout the summer.
