We should have won by a lot more, says Jefferies

FORMER Berwick Rangers manager Jim Jefferies believes his Dunfermline team should have won far more convincingly at Shielfield.

The First Division side beat Berwick 2-1 and missed a penalty in the friendly at Shielfield, but Jefferies says his men were by far the better team.

“We played some really good football and we should have beaten them by a lot more,” said Jefferies.

“Andy Kirk should have had four goals. We created chances galore. There was quality play with zip and the workrate was far better. I thought it was great.

“This was against a team that gave Livingston a hard game and the difference we showed from our first game last week was a massive improvement.”
