Berwick Rangers stand-in skipper Stevie Notman is hoping his team can build on Saturday’s victory over Arbroath and cash in on a £100,000 Scottish Cup pay-day.
The Borderers face Spartans in a Scottish Cup fifth round replay at Shielfield tomorrow (Tuesday) with the winners going on to face Hibernian in the quarter-finals.
That’s a game which is scheduled to be screened live on Sky TV and Notman believes it’s an opportunity they cannot afford to miss.
“This was a big game for us as it keeps us in the hunt for the play-offs,”he said. “Hopefully it will send out a message to let people know what we are capable of.
“But the cup game against Spartans is also a big game with the chance to go on and make some money.”
