Hot-shot striker Darren Lavery has agreed to stay on at Berwick for another year.

The hit-man, who has now bagged over 50 goals for the club, and was the leading scorer last season, has agreed a contract extension which will see him stay at Shielfield until the end of the 2015-16 season.

The news will come as a major relief to manager Colin Cameron as he assembles his squad for the new campaign.

Rangers kick off their series of pre-season friendlies this Saturday (July 4) with a home game against FA Vase holders North Shields - kick-off 3pm.

They then take on Dunfermline at Shielfield on Monday (July 6) at 7.45pm.
