Berwick Rangers have been dealt an injury blow with the news that influential midfielder Lee Currie is suffering from shin-splints.

Currie, who is currently serving a two-match suspension - he missed the 2-0 defeat at Annan on Saturday and is unavailable for the home game against Albion Rovers this weekend - has been told to take two weeks rest by doctors.

Manager Colin Cameron said: “Lee has been carrying the injury since the start of the season. He has been ordered to rest by doctors, so I suppose you could say we have benefited from his suspension. Hopefully the injury isn’t too bad and he will be back sooner, rather than later.”
