Berwick Rangers beat the transfer day deadline in signing 6ft striker Andrew Russell from Cowdenbeath on a one-and-a-half-year deal.
“I took him to Cowdenbeath,” said the manager, “and when I heard he was being released I decided to bring him to Berwick.
“He is going to be a valuable addition to our squad and he has signed on a deal to the end of next season.”
Russell missed the 3-3 draw at Clyde because he is currently recovering from a chipped bone in his foot.
Cameron added: “He should be running in training this week, but is unlikely to play for a couple of weeks.”
Also coming in is 22-year-old Tranent Juniors keeper Ross McMullen. Going in the opposite direction is keeper Kieran Beveridge.
Reserves defender Steven Finlayson has been released to join another club.
