DUNS Golf is hosting a special Benefit Day on Saturday, April 30, in aid of the David Melrose Rehabilitation Fund.
Firefighter David was an enthusiastic member of the Duns club and was injured whilst fighting a fire at Eyemouth Golf Club.
The format for the day is a Q-Am and is open to any combination teams of four with a maximum handicap of 36 for ladies and 28 for gents.
The entry fee is £40 per team all of which will go to the fund.
There will be prizes of fourballs at courses from Matfen and Morpeth to Longniddry, Linlithgow and Peebles with many more in between for teams of four ladies, four gents or two pairs.
Therre will also be prizes for nearest the pins and longest drives.
One of the highlights will be a silent auction on the day with a variety of lots available.
These range from a set of Callaway Razr irons, a short holiday with Bourne Leisure, an Autumn Weekend Break at the Woll with free golf, a signed Hearts Football Club shirt, a tour of Belhaven Brewery for 12 people with a meal, two golf bags and various other lots.
