Gareth Hill, Jamie Pick and Michael Brennan scored two tries each as Berwick romped to victory over Duns in a one-sided Regional Shield derby at Scremerston.

The home side led 24-3 at half time thanks to two tries from Hill and another from captain Gareth Black.

Hill also kept the scoreboard ticking over with a consistent display of goal kicking.

Berwick’s Jamie Pick was yellow carded in the first minute of the second half, but despite being a man down the home team extended their lead.

Hill kicked another penalty before Scott Owens was driven over from a lineout to touch down.

Brennan ran in another try on the counter attack and Pick then rubbed salt in Duns wounds by touching down shortly after returning to the pitch, finishing off another flowing backs move.

As the one-way traffic continued, both Pick and Brennan collected their second tries of the afternoon to take Berwick beyond the 50-point mark.

By the end, Duns were relieved to hear the final whistle.
