Junior members of Duns Football Club helped swell the coffers on Saturday and did their bit in helping to raise funds for new facilities.

Juniors and parents combined to take part in a very successful Bag Pack at the Co-op in Duns. Thanks to their hard work and the generosity of the shoppers in the town a grand total of £648.98 was raised.

Well done to everyone involved and special thanks to all who helped and baked for the event.

Unreturned Quiz sheets can still be completed up until Friday, December 12, and a superb hamper can be won.

A club spokesman said: “Thanks go to all those who helped and baked and gave up their time. Thanks also go to all those who have helped with the selling of the clubs Christmas quiz sheets. More than 110 have been sold so far. It’s this kind of spirit that epitomises Duns Football Club - a true community club.

“Thanks also to the Co-op in Duns for allowing this the Bag Pack to take place and for supporting their local club.”
