Weeding out growers with poetry

Lothian and Scottish Borders Police chipped in to National Poetry Day with a verse on how to recognise evidence of marijuana growing.

At the end of a presentation on the tell-tale signs, the poem appeared on the force’s Facebook page.

It read:

“A sniff and smell of something sickly and sweet

Tells all is not well.

A new vent, darkened windows and constant light

Tells all is not right.

Excessive cables and high levels of heat

Tells this is danger to your street

That you want to get out

Weed them out, give us a shout.”
