A 335 mile walk to London in aid of Walking with the Wounded’s Homeless Veteran Programme sets off from Coldstream on Monday, December 1, at 8am.
The journey is being made by former army officer Harry Bucknall and his comrade Jock Davis who plan to walk 25 miles a day for 15 days, arriving on the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral at 6.30pm on Monday, December 14.
Harry and Jock are starting their walk from Coldstream following the historic route taken by General Monck and his army as he marched south from the town to restore King Charles II to the throne in 1660.
