A walk along Eyemouth beach led to an interesting discovery for Sina Anderson when she found a video of a Titanic documentary that had come in with the tide.

Given its nautical theme, Sina thought her find was both apt and very weird, so much so that she was quick to tell one of her friend’s who was in a nearby shop.

She hasn’t yet watched the 1997 History Channel programme ‘Titanic: The Death of a Dream’ but owing to the fact that the tape was over to the right hand side, Sina, who runs Hillcrest B&B, made the assumption that the tape’s original owner had.

“I only ended up going for a walk along the beach that day because my friend Pat, the lady who took the first picture o f me with the video ,came to the B&B the day before to say the tide was the lowest it had been for some time, “ Sina explained.

“I thought it would be a good opportunity to maybe see some rocks that you never get to see normally.

“The tide was that far out I was almost level with the entrance of the harbour.”

But instead of rarely seen rocks or sealife, it was a video box that Sina stumbled upon.

“I saw something in a sand bank and after brushing the sand off I realised it was a video.

“And then when I saw it was a programme about ‘Titanic’ I had to laugh. It appealed to my sense of humour. But I also thought it was a bit spooky..

“I went to find Pat and said ‘I’ve got a scoop for you’.

“Before long she had uploaded the story and picture to Facebook.”
