A fleet of historic vehicles worth an estimated £25 million visited one of the Borders’ most spectacular locations as part of a 750-mile rally.

More than 110 pre-war cars took part in The Flying Scotsman Rally which saw participants travel from Leeds to Gleneagles over three days, stopping at the Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course in Kelso to enjoy lunch.

The event attracts vintage car enthusiasts from across the world. Vehicles from a 1917 La France American Speedster through to a 1948 MG TC. Established by the Endurance Rally Association, this is the only long distance rally aimed solely at vintage car enthusiasts.
