Two teenagers killed in horrific Coldstream crash

COLDSTREAM is in mourning this week after losing two of its teenagers in a horrific car accident just outside the town.

Eighteen-year-old Colin Wight, who lived in the town's Market Square, and his passenger 16-year-old Paul Baxter of Home Place, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, one mile north of the town on the Coldstream to Swinton Mill road on Friday evening, November 4.

The red Honda Civic was travelling south towards Coldstream when the car left the road and hit a tree. Emergency services attended and freed the teenagers but tragically it was a double fatality.

The road was closed for several hours while police carried out a full accident investigation.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this fatal road crash, or the movements of the vehicle prior to the accident, to come forward and contact them on 01450 375051.
