Tweedside Timber has recently invested in a Weing Cube four side planer.

Michael Weinig (UK) Ltd. is the leading manufacturer for the solid wood processing industry and its revolutionary Cube has transformed the way companies plane and straighten timber.

The Cube enables Tweedside Timber staff to produce planed timber to specific sizes on demand and the company is the first in the area to offer such a service.

Manager Richard Dobson is excited about this new service and said: “Our customers can walk in and ask for any special size of planed timber which we can now produce locally.

“The Weinig Cube is a revolutionary machine which is amazingly safe and easy to use, meaning we don’t need a time-served machinist to operate it.”

Advice on the specification of the Cube was given to Richard by Malcolm Cuthbertson, a local resident and managing director of Weinig (UK).

He said: “I’m proud a local company has joined the ranks of Cube owner and looks forward to using the service personally!”

Tweedside Timber can now supply bespoke size planed timber as well as an extensive range of timber mouldings and complimentary products to trade and DIY.
