The Scottish Government’s £25 million regeneration capital investment fund is an opportunity not to be missed by the Scottish Borders.

It provides financial support to projects delivering positive improvements to areas in need of social and economic regeneration.

It is open to local authorities and Berwickshire based SNP South of Scotland MSP Paul Wheelhouse is urging Scottish Borders Council to get on board and look at solving issues such as finding a use for Eyemouth Town Hall.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for the Scottish Borders to make the most of the funding being made available for regeneration by the Scottish Government and I hope that Scottish Borders Council will seriously consider the chance to bid for funding,” he said.

“With funding targeted at communities affected by deprivation there are a number of projects in Borders towns that could benefit from this financial input.”
