The total raised by the recent Duns fundraising extravaganza has now reached a staggering £18,528!

The event included a rally car pull, sponsored shave and charity auction, with the funds raised being split between Prostate Cancer and St Columbas Hospice.

The cheques will now be presented to the respective charities when two members of each charity visit the Black Bull Hotel, in Duns, on Sunday, December 11.

The organising committee would like to extend an open invitation to this event to all those who took part in both the rally car pull and sponsored shave and to those who donated lots for the auction.

On display in the Black Bull will be photographs of all the teams who did their bit in pulling the car.

These were taken by YID Photography, Duns, and will be on sale on the day with the proceeds from any sales going to the charities.

The presentation of cheques will take place at approximately 5-5.30pm so everyone is welcome to attend and see the results of their great effort.

The organisers would like to thank once again all those who contributed to the event in any way.
