A charity breakfast is being held at The Barn at Beal, just south of Berwick, on Thursday, January 28, to raise money to help farmers in times of need.

The Addington Fund supports farmers in times of emergency or hardship and the charity has organised eight farmhouse breakfasts from Cornwall to Berwick as a means of raising funds and providing an opportunity for rural business people in the Borders and Northumberland to meet up.

Ian Bell, chief executive of the Addington Fund said: “Our breakfast bonanza is inspired by Breakfast Week.

“This is a great platform to showcase the wealth of wonderful foods our farmers produce, all of which provide the perfect start to the day.”

The Barn at Beal will be serving full English breakfasts from 9-11am thanks to support from Strutt and Parker and Barclays.
