Twelve Berwickshire communities are to benefit from over £32,000 worth of SBLocal small schemes.

At last week’s meeting of Berwickshire Area Forum there was unanimous approval for the 27 schemes put forward, leaving just over £1600 in this year’s Berwickshire SB Local pot.

Larger schemes include: replacing equipment at Ayton play park - £5000 and installing fencing around bottle banks - £1400; repairing Eyemouth town clock - £3000; installing a bus stance at Woodheads, Duns - £1800; erecting fencing at Greenlaw tennis courts - £1200; installing a drop kerb near Greenlaw cemetery - £1350; alterations to Cove car park, reducing spaces from 30 to 27 and include disabled bays - £1200; erecting a fence at Burnmouth play park - £1488; enhancing grass area at Chirnside’s East End car park - £1650.
