The National Museum of Flight at East Fortune is set to celebrate the festive season this weekend with a special, two-day Supersonic Christmas event.

Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, December 17 and 18, Supersonic Christmas will give children the chance to climb on board a giant Boeing 707 and meet Santa. They will also be able to take part in a number of Christmas craft sessions and find out about the toys, games and Christmas dinners of festive seasons past.

Visitors can enjoy carol-singing performances by Prestonpans theatrical group Musical Youth on Sunday afternoon between 2pm and 3.30pm and all of the Museum’s exhibits, including supersonic favourite Concorde, will be available to view.

Grant MacKenzie, general manager, National Museum of Flight said; “Our Boeing 707 aircraft is a fantastic place for children to meet Santa and along with some fun craft sessions and beautiful carol-singing, this event is set to be a great family day out.”

For children with special access requirements, Santa will be happy to meet them at ground level.
