Duns Volunteer Hall, hosted this year’s Rural Olympics with ten teams taking part.

Medals were well earned, and Cockburnspath came out victorious in first place, second place was secured by Chirnside and Earlston was third. The winning team from Cockburnspath will now represent Berwickshire SWRI at the national final on October 4, at Perth. They will be competing in eight non strenuous games but will have no prior information about what those games entail.

Pictured are representatives of the three winning teams with Mary MacFarlane, Berwickshire Federation chair and Linda Riddell, Berwickshire Federation sports convenor. Congratulations to everyone who took part.
