Reston Young Farmers Club recently handed over a cheque for £400 to The Fire Fighters Charity.

The money was the profit made from a barn dance the club held back in November.

Now the club is holding a new members’ night at Eyemouth Ten Pin Bowling on April 12, starting at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome, whether they have an agricultural background or not.

The young farmers motto is “Not just for those who wear wellies” and there are a number of activities held throughout the year ranging from sports, stock judging competitions, farm visits and dances to name just a few. New members are always welcome so if your free head along! Membership is open to 14 to 30-year-olds.
