Police arrest three for theft by housebreaking

Police Scotland have carried out a second day of action targeting suspects for housebreakings and associated offences across the region and East Lothian.

Two woman and a man were arrested and charged in connection with a number of thefts by housebreaking.

Chief Inspector Kenny Simpson, said: “Housebreaking is a heartless crime - it violates the victim’s sense of security.

“Tackling housebreaking is a top priority for Lothians and Scottish Borders police and this Operation RAC activity targeted those who perpetrate the crimes. We will carry on relentlessly pursuing those individuals who undertake housebreaking to bring them to justice.”
