Pensioner hospitalised after bull attack

An 81-year-old man was rushed to hospital after it is believed he was attacked by a bull near Greenlaw yesterday.

The local man, who is understood not to be a farmer or farm worker, is receiving treatment for serious injuries at the Borders General Hospital.

A police Scotland spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that officers attended an incident around 12.15pm yesterday (Sunday, August 25), where an 81-year-old man was injured on farmland near to Greenlaw, Berwickshire. He was taken to Borders General Hospital, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.”
