Pearly queen’s jewellery workshops

The chance to learn how to design and make your own ear-rings from the pearly queen herself, Frances Benton, and at the same time raise money for Riding for the Disabled is an opportunity not to be missed.

Jan, Norrie and Alice Rutherford are hosting the event at their home Hawthorns, Lennel Road, Coldstream on Saturday, November 8, from 12 noon to 5pm.

There will be jewellery design and making demonstrations given by Frances at 3pm, 4pm and 5pm.

The day event will be followed by a social evening when you can hear about RDA riders and helpers, learn how RDA champion Margaret Morgan helped Frances overcome her fear of horses, and also explore the beauty of pearls with the opportunity to buy the jewellery, plus cards and pictures by local photographer Barbara Berkowitz.
