Visitors to Paxton House may soon be able to step off land and take advantage of boat trips along the River Tweed.
The Paxton team has secured funding from The Morton Trust to buy two boats which will operate fun and informative trips on the river.
The trips will be fun and informative, touching on history and wildlife. Paxton House’s Kara ter Morsche said: “We hope that the trips will develop to include a service that runs from Berwick up to the house.
“At present, we are looking for people who would be interested in getting involved with this project, in a volunteering capacity and potentially an employed capacity.”
Interested parties should contact David Seed by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01361 882920.
The Mouth of the Tweed boat trips, which run from Berwick Quayside on Wednesdays and Thursdays, were due to restart for the summer last week. See www.mouthofthetweed.co.uk/boattrips.html for a timetable and more information.
