Paxton House prepares for Christmas

HAVING treated visitors to a murder mystery evening in the run up to Halloween, Paxton House is turning its attentions to Christmas now with a selection of events to get people in the festive spirit.

First up on Saturday, November 26 is Borders-based folk band Real Time, who will be performing in the Hayloft Gallery at 7.30pm.

Tickets for their performance are £8 and you might also want to put another forthcoming event in your diary as we edge ever closer to December 25.

On Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4, Paxton House will be playing host to its ever popular Christmas Cracker.

With the mansion house’s rooms decorated suitably, a visit should certainly get you in the Christmas spirit!

There will be a selection of quality craft stalls throughout the Picture Gallery and Hayloft Gallery so there should be plenty of opportunities for you to snap up a Christmas present or two.

Father Christmas will also be making an appearance on both days and there will be prizes up for grabs in a Festive Raffle.

Entry is £1 for adults while children get in for free.
