COLDSTREAM Community Theatre Group’s offering for the pantomime season this year is ‘Dick Whittington’ written and directed by Janet Hodge.

It promises to be both topical and traditional with guaranteed laughs from start to finish - oh yes it does!

Set in the town of Tweedledum on the banks of the river Twiddle, (a town bearing a remarkable likeness to Coldstream) is where all the action takes place - well actually it all takes place in Coldstream Community Centre on Friday, December 7 and Saturday, December 8.

New cast members tread the boards this year – young stars, word perfect and ready to entertain. There is a delicious dame called Delia, a rather posh gentleman from London called Boris and a very important councillor Mr Alec C. Bass who is into some fishy business up the Twiddle.

There is sure to be lots of audience participation – “oh yes there is” – but where is Dick Whittington? He is behind you – oh no he’s not!

The curtain is up in the community centre on Friday and Saturday at 7pm. Tickets (£5 each, £4 concessions) are available from Clark’s Newsagents or at the door.
