New identity for Borders animal welfare charity

Borders Pet Rescue (formerly known as Borders Animal Welfare Association) has just launched a new brand identity.

As a local animal charity in the Borders, the organisation has successfully re-homed literally thousands of animals during the past 25 years.

However, to ensure that Borders Pet Rescue can continue to provide care, shelter and loving homes for animals in need, the time is definitely right to tell their story and let local people know about the valuable work of the charity and how they can support it.

As a result the charity took the decision to re-brand with a memorable new name which reflects exactly what it stands for and which raises its profile in the local community.

That’s why Borders Pet Rescue has been launched, to provide a platform to build a bright future for the charity so that it can continue to help animals in need for many years to come.

Whatever the circumstances, the charity supports owners who can no longer look after their pet and have accommodation for six dogs, 22 cats and a number of rabbits and other small animals at their Rescue Centre in Earlston. Qualified staff are supported by a dedicated team of volunteers to ensure that the animals receive the care they need, 365 days of the year. And the charity has the proud distinction that they never put a healthy animal down.
