Berwickshire MP has welcomed funding that should see more money spent on improving broadband services in the region.
Liberal Democrat Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander announced a £250m investment in high speed broadband across the UK in the House of Commons last week.
This funding is on top of £100.8m which has already been announced to deliver better broadband for Scotland
Commenting, Mr Moore said: “I have been campaigning for better broadband for the Borders for many years and I welcome this announcement today which will add to the broadband investment already ear-marked for Scotland.
“In rural areas like the Borders, reliable internet services are a lifeline to families, public services and businesses. This new investment will help improve our broadband connection which will be a huge boost for the economy and local people.”
