Money offered for clean up of Eyemouth’s local paths

Eyemouth gardeners are being given the opportunity to quote for tidying up The Loaning, in the town.

The new Eyemouth Town Community Council are keen to build on the solid foundation of their predecessors and are able to access a grant from Scottish Borders Council to pay for local paths at The Loaning to be cleared.

“Any chance possible we will strive to bring to the town positive and constructive progress,” said James Anderson, treasurer. “We feel this starts with the simple things in life like walking the dog along a loaning that has been walked along for many years and not allowing it to be lost to nature and forgotten about.

“We would also like people to come forward with other local paths that may need cleared. We cannot promise to take on all projects but we will do our very best!

“It is a brilliant chance for any local gardener or landscaper to come forward and give a quote for the clearance of the loaning. This time of year is quiet for this type of work as winter sneaks in so we want to help our local economy and get as many quotes in as possible.”

Quotes for the work should be sent to James Anderson (treasurer), 31 The Avenue, Eyemouth TD14 5EB or handed into Occasions to Eyemouth Provost Jemma Landles.
