May and Bert raise £1,080 for Cancer Research UK

Pimms in the Garden held by |May and Bert Kinghorn on Sunday was a huge success. The sun shone and lots of folks came along to the event. They are very grateful to all the support which they received, through donations, raffle prizes and to the loyal lady helpers who gave their time also the Pimms and Lemonade. thanks too to the businesses who donated the Orange Juice, Nibbles and Ice. The magnificent total of �1,080 was raised for Cancer Research UK which will go to the scientist and doctors in the battle to beat cancer.

A very successful ‘Pimms in the Garden’ was held recently by Duns couple May and Bert Kinghorn in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The sun shone and lots of folk came along to the event held in the couple’s garden in the town’s Station Avenue.

They are very grateful to all the support which they received, through donations, raffle prizes and to the loyal lady helpers who gave their time and also served up the Pimms and lemonade.

Thanks also go to the local businesses who donated the orange juice, nibbles and ice.

The magnificent total of £1,080 was raised for Cancer Research UK. This money will go towards the work of scientists and doctors to help in the battle to beat cancer.
