Planning permission is being sought for repairs to Marchmont House, the Category A-listed stately home near Greenlaw.

An application has been made to planners at Scottish Borders Council for the replacement of its roof lanterns.

The house, in the Palladian style, was built by the Third Earl of Marchmont in 1750.
