Man assaulted in unprovoked Reston attack

LOTHIAN and Borders Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Reston on Wednesday afternoon.

ABOUT around 2pm on July 18, the 29 year old was the victim of what police are treating as an unprovoked attack at business premises in the village.

The culprit is described as male, 30-40 years of age, white, around 6ft tall, wearing a red beanie style hat, blue hooded top, dark bottoms and white trainers.

A police spokesperson said “We are not aware of any motive for this assault and we are appealing to the public for any information in relation to this incident.”

“Reston is a quiet village and I am confident that someone will be able to assist us in identifying the culprit”.
