Turbines ‘reduce house prices’

Research carried out by a London School of Economics team supports claims by anti-wind farm protestors that wind turbines reduce the value of nearby homes.

The researchers concluded: “All results point in the same direction, regardless of the specific research design. Wind farms reduce house prices in postcodes where the turbines are visible.”

George Matthews who lives near Drone Hill wind farm, at Coldingham Moor said: “Surely our MPs, MSPs, and councillors must now push for compensation for those of us living near wind farms.”
