John Lamont MSP visited his local Royal Mail delivery office in Coldstream to wish the staff well ahead of the Christmas rush and thank them for their efforts.
This is always the busiest time of the year for the Royal Mail, with many delivery offices staying open late to deal with increased influx of letters and parcels.
John said: “It was great to meet some of our local posties in Coldstream ahead of this year’s Christmas rush. While many of us will be relaxing in the warmth of our own homes over the coming weeks, they will be braving the worst of a Berwickshire winter in order to deliver our mail.
“If you see your postie in the coming weeks be sure to stop them to show your appreciation.”
