RALLY TRAGEDY: Police name the three victims

Police have named the three spectators who died at the Jim Clark Rally yesterday. All three are from the Glasgow area.

Iain John Provan, 64, and Elizabeth Allan, 63, both from Barrhead, were killed along with 71-year-old John Leonard Stern (known as Len) from Bearsden at around 4.05pm yesterday.

Police removed their bodies from the scene of the crash at Little Swinton, a mile north of Coldstream, on Sunday.

A 61-year-old man who was also injured in the incident is in a stable condition at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

Police have also confirmed that a 61-year-old man who was injured in an earlier incident near Eccles is in a critical but stable condition at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
