Scottish Borders Council’s (SBC) Libraries and Museums staff are revving up for a car-themed family event in Duns this Saturday.

All Sorts of Cars! is the latest fun-packed session of LLAMAS, or Loads of Library and Museum Events on Saturdays.

Whizz along to Duns library between 10-11.30am to explore racing cars, everyday transport, electric cars, cars of the past and cars of the future with LLAMAS. Get up close to a real 1920 Vauxhall and see how different it is from a modern car you might ride in today, see an exhibition about Jim Clark’s Cortinas, hear stories about cars, play games and let your imagination run wild designing your own futuristic vehicle of the future.

LLAMAS sessions combine arts and crafts with storytelling to help families with children of all ages explore different topics, from popular children’s novels and comics to technology and history. The next LLAMAS event on Saturday, June 14, will focus on life in the 1960s.

All Sorts of Cars! is free and there is no need to book, however children under the age of eight must be accompanied by an adult.
