Dunbar and East Linton Councillor Michael Veitch, Chair of the A1 Action Group, has written to the Scottish Transport Minister, Keith Brown MSP, for clarification on plans for the A1.

Cllr Veitch said: “I very much hope that the Scottish Government choose to seize this project with both hands, and to work with their UK colleagues to
finally secure the full dualling of the route.”

His request comes as an enquiry into the feasibility and cost-effective nature of dualling the A1, conducted by the Westminster Government, continues.
